Inflamed? This might be why
Oh hi!
Let's talk about a topic that's as sweet as it is complex.
The impact of added sugar, dairy, and gluten on our bodies and, yes, our skin.
First up, is added sugar.
Consuming added sugar can lead to inflammation, which is the root cause of many skin issues like acne and premature aging.
Sugar disrupts your skin's collagen production, leading to saggy and wrinkled skin. But not only does it cause rapid aging, it also can cause inflammatory conditions like eczema.
Not exactly the glow-up we're aiming for, right?
Second on the list is dairy.
For some, dairy is a comforting staple, but for others, it can be a sneaky troublemaker.
Dairy can lead to skin problems like breakouts, redness, or worse eczema in some people. Think of dairy as that frenemy who seems sweet but might be stirring up drama beneath the surface.
Despite seeming harmless, dairy can be a potential cause of hidden problems like inflammation.
If you’re not affected by dairy, or slightly affected, try A2 milk! It’s known to eliminate the inflammatory response that other milks cause.
Last, but certainly not least, is gluten.
It's in our beloved bread and pasta, but it might be causing more trouble than we realize.
For those with sensitivities or celiac disease, gluten can incite an inflammatory response, not just in the gut, but on the skin, too.
This can manifest as rashes, acne, or even accelerated aging.
Understanding how these foods affect your body and skin is the first step.
I've personally cut gluten from my diet from being so intolerant to it and I've never felt better.
Less inflammation, less irritation and not to mention my skin is healthier than it’s ever been!
There’s no one fits all solution when it comes to diet or skincare, so navigate your journey wisely & tailor it to your specific needs!
